Adobe Firefly

Adobe image and video generation trained on licensed content, built into Creative Cloud and safe for commercial work.

Adobe's generator, trained on licensed and public-domain images rather than a scrape of the open web, which is its whole pitch: output you can use commercially with far less legal worry. It lives inside Photoshop and the rest of Creative Cloud, so generation and editing happen in one place.

Purely on image quality it trails Midjourney and Flux, and the credit allowance can feel tight. For agencies, brands and anyone who has to answer the question of whether they can actually use the image, the licensing earns the trade.

Pros

  • Trained on licensed and public-domain images
  • Commercially safe output with far less legal worry
  • Built directly into Photoshop and Creative Cloud
  • Generation and editing happen in one place

Cons

  • Image quality trails Midjourney and Flux
  • Credit allowance feels tight in normal use
  • Really only worth it inside the Adobe ecosystem
