Midjourney images have a polish and coherence the others reach for, which is why it stays the default for concept art, moodboards and anything that has to look good before it looks accurate. It now runs through a proper web app rather than only through Discord.
The trade-offs: it is paid from the first image with no free tier, gives you less fine control than the open models, and carries a house style you sometimes have to fight. For most people who just want a beautiful picture with little effort, it is still the first stop.
