The anti-dashboard option. Basecamp deliberately does less: each project bundles to-dos, a message board, a chat, docs and a schedule in one calm place, with none of the sprawling views and metrics the others pile on. Its flat pricing, one price for unlimited users on the top plan, is unusual and can be a bargain for a bigger team.
The opinionated simplicity is the whole point, and also the limit: if you need Gantt charts, deep automation or granular reporting, it is not built for you. For a team that wants to communicate and stay organised without a tool that becomes a job of its own, it is a breath of fresh air.
